Our fireplace stopped working around xmas time, I always try and support local but this was the first and definitely the last time we will use Thompson mech . The tech was awesome super friendly and I would hire him personally in a second if he worked elsewhere . My issue was no appointments really bad communication and honestly my jaw dropped when I was given the bill . They had to come out 3 times and I was charged everytime at 120 hr bill ended up being 1400 to replace a gas valve 500 for parts and 900 for labor like I said my jaw dropped . I could check my cameras and the time they were actually here and definitely wouldn't add up . Do yourself a favor call around don't make the same mistake i did supporting local isn't always the best option . Wouldn't recommend

I have used Thompson over the last couple years for a boiler replacement and service. They have been fantastic. If you have an emergency, they will always make time. They never try to upsell you on anything, they fix/ replace only what they need to. I have found the service to be very reasonably priced. Every one that shows up is friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them

Got Thompson mechanical to come look at my gas fireplace as a second opinion because the first company told me I needed a whole new insert worth thousands. The technician from Thompson was amazing. It turned out to be just a dirty sensor and a $2 switch. He went over and above to answer all my questions about other things around the house. It’s so hard to find good quality, honest workmanship sometimes these days. Would definitely recommend them to others!

Called Thompson Mechanical to come install a gas line for our new gas range. The receptionist was absolutely lovely to deal with, as my husband and I were desperate to have this done after habing been without a stovetop for over a week after being stood up by another business, and she seemed very understanding to our problem. Mike called us that evening to set up a date and Thompson Mechanical sent over Luke to do the install who ran the new line no problem, no mess, and hooked up the new range. I even got to meet Mike briefly when he brought the flexible gas line over for behind the range and I have to say that everyone that we interacted with at Thompson Mechanical was very knowledgeable and personable! We absolutely love our gas range and we're so happy that we chose Thompson Mechanical. They have become our go-to for any heating/cooling/plumbing needs and we highly recommend them! Thank you Thompson Mechanical!!! (I am not in any way related to anyone in Thompson Mechanical - the name is just a very cool coincidence)

We have used Thompson multiple times in the past. It's always been great service. Unfortunately our last experience with Thompson will prevent us from using them again. We called Thompson to come and clean out the kitchen sink line leading to the main line. I have done it in the past by myself and told the plumber Luke exactly what I had done to clean it out. Luke and another man came out to do the job. This was on a Thursday during the day. I got home from work and Luke told me they were still having the water back up. They just couldn't figure it out. Luke kept asking if maybe there was another line which I replied, no just the same line I cleaned out before. I asked his assistant for his opinion but Luke said the guy was new and was learning. Ok, fair enough. Anyways, both Luke and the other fellow came the next day and spent numerous hours trying to find the problem. They rented longer snakes and cameras to take a look. At the end of the day, it was over $2200 for EXACTLY what I said it was. The kitchen line was clogged. My problems were: why bring another guy if he isn't allowed to give an opinion and according to Luke, was learning. Also, Why not scope it at the beginning to see how clogged the line is? In the end, the problem was EXACTLY what I called them for but cost at least 1500 dollars more because they were checking everything but the line I said was clogged in the first place. The customer service is always great but the taste in mouth from the last experience will definitely encourage me to call someone else next time. Ps. I waited a month before writing this review because I was just too pissed off to write it sooner.
