Marsh & Son Ventures

Had furnace issues during the holidays and couldn't get any other company to either answer their phones or return calls. These guys were busy but had someone in my house the same day. I haven't had problems since and the pricing was very reasonable.

Will never recommend this company to anyone. Our furnace failed over 6 weeks ago, and at first being called they came out on a Sunday afternoon, which really was great but the only reason they even get a star at all. Since then these guys have repeatedly dropped the ball, ignored us, or just not bothered to call us back at all to see how we want to proceed when they did find an answer or encountered a problem. They take one step and then put us on the back burner for 2 weeks at a time and don’t move forward or update even when we have called them to ask. We’ve had 3 periods of -35 since then and after 6 weeks there wasn’t even an order in place to be shipped here. Instead of calling us to say "we’re having trouble finding something that isn’t 4-6 weeks out" they just didn't called back for 2 weeks. Instead of calling us to say "there are no furnaces in stock in town" they just didn’t call back to tell us that at all. Everyone’s busy, but these are simple steps. Instead we are left in limbo while heating our house with space heaters with a 2 year old running around for half the winter, skyrocketing our BC Hydro bill and suffering extreme stress wondering when we will have a working furnace again.

Wilfred and Derek were wonderful to work with. We are new to the area and had no prior knowledge about sump pumps, water softeners, or our hot water on demand. Wilfred replaced our old sump pump, cleaned our hot water on demand, and also showed us how to do it. Wilfred also explained how the water softener works, and how to maintain it. Our furnace was cleaned thoroughly, with new filters left for us to use every two months as well. They were both knowledgeable, and hard working while taking the time to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend Marsh and Son based on my experience.

5 stars for the dispatcher. 0 stars for the plumber. I called to get a hot water tank fixed that had failed overnight, but then had to cancel. The reason I canceled is I’m located out of FSJ and found someone to perform the work that was closer and $900 cheaper. Before I canceled I asked if the plumber had been dispatched yet, I was told no. I was then called by the plumber and was threatened verbally with a physical confrontation. This made a stressful situation worse. 0 stars I would not recommend.

wow this man is incredible! Our residential boiler went down late Friday night early Saturday morning (-25 outside) and we called another local plumbing company, they came to look at it and said they would get to us eventually!! Monday morning still no heat and no call from "other" company ... so we called Marsh & Sons....the nice man was here in 10 mins and got us up and running with more repairs to be done at a later date WE HAVE HEAT AGAIN!!!!! Thank you Marsh & Sons ..... we will never call anyone else again!!! <3
