Award Plus: Plumbing and Drains

Had the pleasure of having Alex handle a sink attachment and hose spigot replacement. He's responsive, punctual and thorough. He asked me the right questions, made thoughtful recommendations, explained his work and left me impressed. He looked at a couple other things and diagnosed issues in seconds. His knowledge and experience is incredible, he's my first call for any future plumbing issues.

Alex has helped us with all of our plumbing issues for a few years now and every single time we have had an amazingly positive experience. He has been quick to respond and fix whatever was needed, and always gave us good information in addition to fixing our incidents to help us be smarter homeowners. Always professional, always pleasant, always informative. We would recommend Award Plus and Alex to anyone and everyone.

Alex is an incredible and very knowledgeable plumber. I had a leak for many months that multiple plumbers had assessed and could not get to the bottom of, but Alex was very organized and methodical in his approach until it was sorted. I have since hired him to do lots of work on our house. Always very responsive and professional.

Every time we've called Alex out to Hamilton for our triplex, he's been amazing. Sure, he charges extra for coming out to Hamilton, but even it's less expensive than getting someone else to show up and spend hours only to not fix the problem and still get a bill. We've hired other local guys for other plumbing work (don't want to get Alex to come all the way out from North York for routine work), but any time it's for more complicated work, especially for draining issues in the basement, we'll call Alex every time. The last time we had a local plumber come out for the basement (thought it might have been simple and so didn't want to call Alex all the way out to Hamilton), the local company spent 3 or 4 hours snaking the drain only to tell us that they'd need to dig up the basement floor because there was a tree root blocking the pipe. Alex came out and was able to determine that the city's portion of the pipe had collapsed. We were able to show this to the city and they scheduled someone to come in the following Monday to fix it.

Alex is very thorough and accommodating. He took the time to explain what he was doing while giving me different options to fix my problem. He was quick and efficient, and the cheaper option compared to competitors. I would highly recommend him to anyone
