Hydra Plumbing

I am always a little worried when I have to call a plumber or electrician. I am so grateful I got to work with Hydra plumbing! François is amazing! Knowledgeable and kind, he explains everything in detail. He was able to identify a problem suggest an affordable solution and was super quick in the execution. Finding a time that worked best for both was easy. He had partners also available to come finalize follow up steps. I really enjoyed the service and the professionalism of Hydra plumbing. Thanks a million Francis

I recently hired Hydra Plumbing to install a P-trap for my shower tub from underneath my mobile home and connected a new hose to an exterior faucet. I couldn't be happier with the service. "Ben" arrived on time, was incredibly professional, and did a truly fantastic job. Working underneath a mobile home isn't easy, but they handled it with absolute expertise. Fast, efficient, and great quality work, the price was unbeatable. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Ottawa area looking for a top-notch plumber!

Excellent experience using Hydra Plumbing to replace my hot water tank. Top notch communication answering the considerable questions I had at the outset and throughout the process. Fair pricing, friendly and effective workers. We're able to do the job within a few days notice. Even provided a little advice about another job that may need tending to in the future. Thank you Hydra Plumbing!

I don't generally leave reviews, but I feel compelled to in this case. I would not recommend this company due to a lack of integrity and some scary behaviour. I hired Hydra for a couple of plumbing jobs. The young technician who came out was pleasant, but may have been an apprentice. He ended up breaking a pipe, so I coordinated with Francis to get it repaired. Francis offered a $50 discount, which I appreciated — until he finally came back a couple of weeks later to do the fix and charged the minimum visit fee plus his truck fee. In my view, that wasn't right, since his employee caused the damage and didn't fix it while there. Quite a business model if you're breaking things and then charging full price + truck fee to come fix a 10 minute job. Still, none of that is the real issue. My major concern is what happened when he handed me the bill. Francis stood at my door and told me he wasn't leaving until both invoices were paid — even though the first bill had a due date that was still weeks away. I paid the bill but he still stood there insisting I pay the other that wasn't due. I was essentially trapped with this man standing in my home, using intimidation and threatening language to pressure me into paying on the spot. I would caution any woman living alone before letting this person into your home.

Hydra Plumbing just replaced all of my toilets. Ben worked hard and ensured all toilets were up and running to my satisfaction. In fact, he was far more meticulous than me and demonstrated an exceptional eye for detail. He was diligent and made sure everything was clean and orderly before he left. Thanks Hydra Plumbing.
