ClearView Services Ltd.

I called ClearView (acquired by Action Furnace) to inspect my hot water tank because it was leaking from the bottom. The technician quickly concluded that the tank must be replaced and said nothing could be repaired. I understand the tank is old (around 20 years), but the replacement quote of about $4,400 for a 50-gallon tank felt extremely high. What frustrated me more was that after paying $98 for diagnostics, I didn’t feel I received much value or meaningful troubleshooting. The visit became more focused on selling memberships and monthly plans than actually helping me understand my options. Without my permission, the technician also inspected my furnace and mentioned there was water leakage and that it would be documented as a "safety issue" in the diagnostic report. That felt unnecessary and uncomfortable since I had called specifically for the hot water tank. Another concern: they save your credit card information unless you specifically ask them not to. Customers should be clearly informed about that upfront. Overall, the experience felt more sales-driven than service-focused. PS - I got half the price quote from another competitor. Similar Bradford water tank with power vent and pipe changes.

I recently have had furnace issues, which once diagnosed, led to the replacement of the furnace. Heinz was thorough and professional in diagnosing the problem and ensuing that I understood my options. Thor was meticulous and patient on the new furnace install in my 100+ year old house where space is challenging. I was kept informed throughout the process and feel I had all the right information to make the best decision for me. The new furnace is working great!

Great job on the sink, tall tap, RO and tap, garburator and push button installation! In my humble opinion, Yamil made my kitchen island and its function second to none in Calgary! The whole job order was very challenging, especially the RO tap installation because of the limited space, but Yamil figured it all out in the best way possible!! Thank you Yamil for making our food preparation as enjoyable as possible for many years to come 😊🙏💯 You should be very proud of your professional skills, good character and work ethic!!!

Although Michael was the bearer of bad news, his professionalism was top notch. He explained exactly what was going on with our main sewer line, walked us through multiple options for repairing the issue and walked us through the entire process. On day 1 of the job, Michael, Jared and Zak arrived on site, laid down lots of drop clothes and ensured that the walls and windows were protected in the bedroom that was to be dug up. They ensured that all utility lines were marked prior to digging. The job with fraught with hiccups but the guys worked through them, overcame and at the end the job was done as promised. A little behind schedule but considering the hiccups that occurred, not the end of the world. On day 2, the guys again arrived on time, started pulling the new pipe through shortly after arrival and the job was completed, holes filled back in and concrete repaired in the evening. On day 3, cleaners arrived to clean up the area the guys were working in so you'd never know they were there. Fantastic job guys! We will be calling you again in the future as we know we are going to need a hot water tank (or tankless system) and a new furnace.

June 2022 update - Jon Dianocky and his apprentice removed and replaced a complicated Wye fitting and toilet flange to stop a leak on the second floor of our commercial building. The cast iron pipe and fittings were tucked deep in the ceiling between the first and second floors, which meant that most of the work was completed from the top of a 12’ ladder. On a difficulty scale of 1-10, this was easily a 9.5 rating. Jon and company went the extra mile not to damage the surrounding structure in the ceiling (the building is 111 years old), which added to the degree of difficulty. I really appreciate the fact that they were not looking to take shortcuts to finish the job faster (and it was even on a Friday night!). Even though the job took much longer than quoted, Clearview services stuck to their original quote. If you are looking for a plumbing partner that is competent and honest, then give Clearview a call. John from ClearView Services is a special kind of service technician - he blends the best parts of being prompt, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We recently purchased a commercial property where the previous owners neglected preventive maintenance on the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems. We have been going through different service providers trying to find one that would A) Show Up, and B) Take care of our systems for a reasonable cost. After 5 No-Shows by other companies, John from ClearView Services in Calgary showed up on time (a few minutes early!!!!! BONUS!), was super friendly, completed the AC system assessment like a boss, and took the time to go over all the repair and PM options. He made sure I understood everything so I could make an informed decision about how to proceed with the repairs. He even walked me through some steps I can do as an owner to keep my systems running smoothly in between service intervals. Technicians like John are few and far between and, based on how awesome he was while on site, I look forward to working with ClearView Services for all my building's HVAC and Plumbing needs! If you are looking for a quality plumbing or HVAC repair or support technician in Calgary, then I highly recommend ClearView Services. These guys actually show up when they are scheduled to, and that really sets them apart from their competition!
